For a while now I have been using a three staged approach to my beard oil reviews, using Appearance, Consistency and Scent. I’ve not been overly satisfied with this but could never think of a more eloquent way to describe the properties of these products. However this changed a few days ago when a hairy chap asked me for advice. He was after an oil that had no scent and I found myself saying in my head as I thought of an answer “So scent is out of the question, the man needs shine or softness” it was a real slap in the face and so now I shall adopt these as my Beard Oil review sections. It makes complete sense and alliteration get you brownie points with any English teachers that are reading!
Looking at what a guy needs from an oil these three sections do seem to be the perfect way to break it down.
I then started to think on a bit more, I have tried a number of oils now and they have all certainly done what they claim to do on the bottle, they add elements of softness, shine and scent but very few seem to deliver on across all three bases. Many smell great but add little shine, some have wonderful softness and shine but the smell is lost.
So from now on I will review the oils in respect to their ability to attain the Beard Oil Trinity, I see it a bit like a three-way slider if you will, the balance is never perfect but I wonder if there is a product out there that can pull of the equilateral spread and attain the elusive Beard Oil Trinity, some are very close I admit so lets see….
