If you are like me you will often find yourself stroking your facial hair and should others see you they instantly believe you are contemplating life’s great dilemmas such as do penguins have knees, can plants smell and what is that sort of thumb thing dogs have half way up their legs for? However if they could tap into your thought patterns they could be in for a shock as all they would hear is “Aaaah, that feels nice, I love my beard/moustache” This sensation is even more pleasing if you have some sort of care routine for your facial hair, whether that be a conditioner, a cuddle from a squirrel or most likely an oil of some description to keep the hairs tiptop. There are a number of Beard Oils on the market and I am certain they will all do as they claim, I have tried three in total and they do indeed soften the hairs and keep things supple and manageable. I have even used olive oil and I am aware that castor oil was favoured by many but for me smelling like cooking is not really a desirable thing.
Step up Captain Fawcett with another quality product in the shape of the Private Stock Beard Oil that uses a lovely blend of Sweet Almond oil, Jojoba oil and vitamin E oils as a base. A quick google on those will tell you that they are very god for hair conditioning so we are off to a great start, but its not just capability of the ingredients that we should focus on as a beard oil needs to perform in other ways too.
The Scent – A very important factor seeing as its right under your nose and this is a balanced blend of Cedarwood, Black Pepper, Patchouli & Palmarosa essential oils, this give you a strong manly smell yet its subtle and will not overpower your senses. Its really quite clever in the respect that its masculine without being heady or musky, and also clean and refreshing. I find the oil actually invigorates my senses at the start of the day and its nice to set off to face life with a confident spring in my step getting the occasional reminder that my moustache is healthy.
Consistency – In my humble opinion this has a wonderful viscosity and just a tiny drop is more than enough for you to finger through your facial hair, even a big beard would need only a couple of drops from the handy pipette dispenser. I bet you use too much at first as a little really goes a long way. The oils also lasts for a long time giving you the benefit of well oiled face fuzz for the day.
Appearance – One thing that I adore about the use of oil based products is the fact that they enhance and highlight the natural colours of your hair and my blond moustache becomes a blazing beacon of beauty and this oil certainly performs well in that department. Its important to note that oil does not make you look “oily” or that you have just dipped your face in lard, you get a nice dry sheen that gives your appearance vigour.
I have to take my hat off to Captain Fawcett, this is a superb product and it certainly will have your facial hair in top condition in no time. Softer facial hair has its benefits of course, styling will be easier as the hair will have more give and just think that softer hair is softer on the people that get close to it, so intimate moments can be more intimate! If you have been deliberating about whether you need a care product then put a halt to that and visit The Captain Fawcett Website and please do say hi from me.
