The Ourea Moustache waxes share the same scents as the shave oils and so here is the same info lifted from the Shave Oil review but there is a little edge added from the Shea butter:
Ingredients: handcrafted from all natural beeswax, unrefined Shea Butter, arabic gum, and a custom blend of extra virgin mediterranean olive, Moroccan argan, and castor oils.
The Silver label: With the scent oils of tea tree, pomegranate and cinnamon this oil has a wonderful clean and fresh aroma. With tea tree taking centre stage but there is a hint of the cinnamon, though I’m not sure I get the pomegranate but this is likely due to the fact that I don’t know what pomegranate actually smells like! I loved this oil and it left me feeling refreshed and invigorated after the morning shave.
The Black Label: This one has a very complex scent in that its really hard to describe as I get different elements from it from time to time. It’s a sweet scent with hints of citrus yet there is almost an amaretto smell, with it conjuring images of marzipan and yet there is a very subtle woody trace running under the scent. It’s a well balanced and delightfully interesting aroma which I found to have a very positive effect on my mood
The waxes have a nice easy soft consistency straight out of the tin and its easy to extract a small workable piece on the back of your thumbnail. I found it best to use a small amount at a time and work it into the centre hairs first and then build out towards the tips. It goes in nicely and almost disappears leaving only a tiny bit of clumping but a quick blast with warm air and a moustache comb this is dealt with. I was pleased with the feel of the hairs during application, there was no stickiness or greasy feeling and once the wax was worked in I was able to form a nice curl when used lightly for a natural look or heavier for a tighter curl.
The wax for me worked better on just the tips and held the shape of the curls very nicely throughout the day, there was one day when the curls pitched forwards a touch but this was not a disaster by any means. I found that in the centre some of my straighter longer hairs fell down and on occasion got into my mouth and so felt much more comfortable with a very light touch in the centre and heavier towards the tips. I class this as a medium hold wax that would definitely be a good choice for those that need a bit of assistance daily in training the hairs.
The natural ingredients in this wax are what shines through, this was evident when it came to the feel of the wax and how great the hairs felt while wearing it. It washed out quite nicely after using the little oil trick I showed you here leaving my moustache in good condition. Ultimately I required a bit more strength but that is my preference and those of you out there that like something easy to use that feels natural then this might be for you.
